Terms of Service
The rules for using Jewel.
Last updated October 22, 2026
By adding Jewel to a server, using its commands, or using jewel.wtf, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Jewel.
What Jewel is
Jewel is a free bot for Yapper servers that offers moderation, security, tickets, levels, welcome messages and other community tools. It is provided "as is" and "as available". We try to keep it running, but we do not promise it will always be online or free of errors.
Your responsibilities
- Follow Yapper's own rules and terms while using Jewel.
- Server owners and staff are responsible for how they set Jewel up and for the actions they take with it, including bans, kicks, timeouts and what they post through it.
- Do not use Jewel to harass, spam, scam, break the law, or to attack Jewel or Yapper.
- Do not try to overload Jewel, get around its limits, or reach data that is not yours.
Gifs from /gif (GIPHY)
The /gif command searches GIPHY and shows whatever picture GIPHY returns. Jewel does not create, choose, host, review or control these gifs, and we are not responsible for any gif that appears when someone uses /gif. Results come straight from GIPHY and can include content that is surprising, offensive or not suitable for everyone, even for an innocent search.
Server staff can turn /gif off in the dashboard, and can report a gif to GIPHY. Gifs are provided by GIPHY under its own terms and privacy policy. Powered by GIPHY.
Content and other services
Jewel can show or link to content from other services, such as GIPHY and Last.fm, and things members type or upload. We do not own or check that content and are not responsible for it, or for what those services do.
Data
What Jewel keeps, and for how long, is described in the Privacy Policy.
Removing Jewel or blocking use
You can remove Jewel from your server at any time. We may limit or block a server or person who breaks these terms or puts Jewel at risk, with or without notice.
No guarantees and limits on liability
Jewel is a tool and does not replace human moderators. It can miss things or act on a mistake. To the fullest extent the law allows, Jewel and its owner are not liable for any loss, damage or harm that comes from using or being unable to use Jewel, from content shown through it, or from actions taken by staff or the bot.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Using Jewel after a change means you accept it.
