What Jewel stores.
Last updated October 18, 2026
Jewel only keeps what it needs to moderate and support your server. Here is the full list.
Kept for each server
- Your settings: staff roles, log and welcome channels, ticket and link roles, and automod options.
- Moderation cases: who was warned, timed out, kicked or banned, who did it, the reason and the time.
- Tickets: who opened each one, its topic, and a transcript of what was said inside the ticket channel.
- Reaction role setups and the list of new members Raid Shield is holding during an alert.
Kept for a short time
- A copy of recent messages (the text, author, channel and time) so staff can see what was removed during a purge or an automod action. Jewel deletes these after 7 days by default.
- Raid Shield's running score and recent join activity, held in memory only. It is gone when Jewel restarts.
What Jewel does not keep
- The contents of direct messages. Jewel sends DMs for moderation notices and closed tickets, but does not store what people send back.
- Passwords, payment details or anything outside your Yapper server.
Outside services
When someone queues a song in a listening party, Jewel sends only that song's link to YouTube, Spotify or SoundCloud to read its title. Nothing else leaves Jewel.
Counts
The home page shows how many servers Jewel is in and how many members those servers have in total. These are plain counts. Nothing about any one server or person is published.
Last.fm
If you use /fmset, Jewel stores the Last.fm username you gave next to your Yapper id so the music commands know whose account to show. /fmunset deletes it. Jewel only reads public listening data from Last.fm.
Logging in to the website
You log in with /login: Jewel DMs you a 6-character code, you type it on jewel.wtf/login, and then you press Accept in a second DM. Jewel learns only your Yapper id and display name. It never sees a password. The code is stored only as a hash and works once, for 5 minutes.
To stop people from guessing codes, the website counts login tries per network address for up to one hour. The confirmation DM shows the browser type and the country of the request, so you can tell whether it was you. A signed cookie keeps you logged in for 7 days; sign out to remove it.
The dashboard
To show you your servers, Jewel keeps a recent copy of each server's channel and role names, its settings, a few recent cases and tickets, and who is in voice. Only people who are staff in that server can see it. This copy refreshes every few seconds and is replaced, not collected over time.
Public pages
The home page shows how many servers Jewel is in and how many members they have in total. A server appears on the home page and on Discover only if its owner or staff switch on "List this server" in the dashboard. Then its name, member count and invite link are public. A server's top 10 on its leaderboard page are public only if its staff switch on "Public leaderboard"; it shows names, levels and XP. Both can be switched off again at any time.
Who can see it
The data is stored in a private database run by Jewel's owner. It is not sold or shared. Each server's staff see their own server's data through Jewel's commands and the log channels they set up.
Removing data
Remove Jewel from your server to stop any new data being collected. To have a server's stored data deleted, ask Jewel's owner on Yapper.
