Levels

Members earn XP by chatting and can win roles.

How XP works

Every message that passes the rules earns a random amount of XP in the range you set. After a message earns XP, the member must wait for the cooldown before the next one counts, so spamming does not help.

Settings

The XP needed to go from level n to the next level is 5n² + 50n + 100 at 100% difficulty. Commands and bot messages never earn XP.

Role rewards

Add a reward for a level and pick the role. When a member reaches that level they get the role. Keep earlier rewards decides whether lower reward roles stay or are replaced by the highest one. Use /xp roles @member to apply rewards to someone who levelled up before you set them.

Commands

/leaderboard [page]The top members, ten per page
/xp add|remove|set @member amountStaff: change someone's XP

Public leaderboard

Switch on Public leaderboard and your top 10 appear at jewel.wtf/leaderboard for anyone with the link, showing names, levels and XP. Your server's Discover card gets a Leaderboard button when it is listed.

Cloud copy

Every XP change is also copied in small batches to a database, so levels survive if Jewel is ever moved to another computer.
